Highly automated logistics centers need highly automated testing

TGW Logistics Group plans, builds, and operates highly automated logistics centers worldwide. The Austrian intralogistics specialist develops software, control technology, robotics, and mechatronic modules entirely in-house. Its customer base includes brands such as Levi Strauss, Puma, and Zalando.

For companies with sensitive logistics operations, stable, end-to-end quality-assured systems are business-critical. TGW was looking for an efficient, comprehensive method to ensure the quality of SAP EWM systems in customer installations. After a market analysis and a successful proof of concept, the decision was made in favor of the suxxesso Tool Suite.

End-to-end test automation between ERP and EWM

The test automation covers end-to-end test cases between ERP and EWM systems, fully automated across all development stages. High usability and the convenient ability to map cross-system test cases were decisive selection criteria.

Thanks to the easy parameterization of test cases, even developers who aren’t deeply involved in the business processes can run tests independently in their own development environments.

The plan is to extend test coverage to additional systems – both SAP GUI- and Fiori-based.
